Kinder Grading:
This year Kindergarten is moving to a checklist for the grading system. If your child has a checkmark for that TEK it has been mastered. Each six weeks you will sign the report card and return it back to school. The first six weeks’ checklist will be given to you at the required parent conference in September.
Homework:
Homework will be assigned every day except Friday. Typically, Monday and Wednesday will be Math homework. Tuesday and Thursday will be Reading homework. Instructions for homework are given on the Homework Sheet Inside your child’s binder. Homework will not be graded but is strongly encouraged. Your child will be tested over the sight words that are on the newsletter at the end of each six weeks.
