Sports Medicine Procedures

Health Records

Every Brazos ISD student-athlete must have a valid current physical examination prior to participation in any Brazos ISD athletics activity. A student may not practice until their physical forms have been submitted to and cleared by the Athletic Trainer.

Injuries and Illnesses

  • Student athletes should report all injuries and illnesses to an Athletic Trainer for evaluation and treatment.
  • Injured students must report to the athletic training room before and after practice unless instructed otherwise by an Athletic Trainer. Treatments and rehabilitation may be administered during the students’ advisory period or other times on an individual basis and as schedule allows.
  • In the event a student athlete needs a physician evaluation, the Sports Medicine staff will assist student athletes’ parents in a physician referral.
  • A student athlete who is evaluated by a physician must provide written clearance from the attending physician in order to return to athletic participation.

Our vision:

BRAZOS ISD inspires each student to become a productive citizen who demonstrates leadership, passion, and self-reliability. We foster a culture of respect, community, perseverance, and achievement.
