Welcome Back

I am Mona Norris and I am excited to be teaching IPC, Physics and Forensics. I am starting my 38th year in education and my 7th year at Brazos. I am a Brazos Alumni (1978) and received a Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University. During my years of teaching, I have educated 4th graders through Seniors.  I look forward to another amazing year and please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Integrated Physics & Chemistry:  Lessons for Week 35

Mon. - Students will demonstrate knowledge of Newton's Laws on a test. 

Tues. -  Students will watcha video Bill Nye:  Electricity and answer questions.

Wed. - Students will take notes and learn about electricity.

Thurs. - Students will take notes and learn the different symbols for electrical circuits. 

Fri. - Students will  watch Generation Genius:  Electricity and answer questions

Forensic Science:  Lessons for Week 35 

Mon. -Students will continue the Fetal Pig Autopsy :  Internal Dissection 

Tues. - Students will continue the Fetal Pig Autopsy: Any missing work. 

Wed. - Students will finish Fetal Pig autopsy by creating a Death Certificate.

Thurs. -  Students will learn about analyzing, comparing and Identifying Footprints

Fri. -  Students will practice identifying different footprints.    

Physics: Lessons for Week 35 

Mon. - Students will  take notes to learn about electricity.    

Tues. - Students will take notes and learn about the symbols used in electrical circuits.

Wed. -Students will  practice identifying parts of and electrical circuit using the symbols. 

Thurs. - Students will learn about Ohm's Law and how to calculate word problem  

Fri. - Students will calculate Ohm's Law word problems. 

Grades:                           

Minor - 60%      Daily worksheets, Homework, Labs  (12+)       

Major - 40%      Tests, Quizzes, Projects (2+)

 

My tutorial schedule is :   Monday and Wednesday 7:30-7:50      I am available as needed.
