Welcome Back

I am Mona Norris and I am excited to be teaching IPC, Physics and Forensics. I am starting my 38th year in education and my 7th year at Brazos. I am a Brazos Alumni (1978) and received a Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University. During my years of teaching, I have educated 4th graders through Seniors.  I look forward to another amazing year and please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Integrated Physics & Chemistry:  Lessons for Week 33

Mon. - Students will perform a Lab: Pulling a Cart/Pushing a Cup, collect data, graph results and and answer conclusion questions. 

Tues. -  Students will continue/finish Lab

Wed. - Students will perform a Lab: Newton's 2nd & 3rd Laws, collect data, graph results and answer conclusion questions. 

Thurs. - Students will continue/finish Lab

Fri. - Students will review Newton's Laws for a test.  Answer a Maze with questions.

Forensic Science:  Lessons for Week 33. 

Mon. -Students will finish JFK 104 documentary.   

Tues. - Students will perform a Lab:  Identification of Cartridge Casings Part 2, collect data and answer conclusion questions. 

Wed. - Students will perform an activity:  Firing Pin Match and answer conclusion questions.   

Thurs. -  Students will create a booklet:  Ballistic Evidence, research and answer questions. 

Fri. -  Students will continue Booklet:  Ballistic Evidence.    

Physics: Lessons for Week 33 

Mon. - Students will perform an activity:  Analog Waves, using a key and waves to create signals in word form.   

Tues. - Students will learn about Wave period and calculate problems. 

Wed. - Students solve Wave Frequency, Wave Length and Wave Speed word Problems on a Scavenger Hunt.  

Thurs. - Students will learn about the Properties of LIght, and take notes   

Fri. - Students will  practice drawing/calculating the angles of light reflection, refraction and diffraction. 

Grades:                           

Minor - 60%      Daily worksheets, Homework, Labs  (12+)       

Major - 40%      Tests, Quizzes, Projects (2+)

 

My tutorial schedule is :   Monday and Wednesday 7:30-7:50      I am available as needed.
