Welcome Back

I am Mona Norris and I am excited to be teaching IPC, Physics and Forensics. I am starting my 39th year in education and my 8th year at Brazos. I am a Brazos Alumni (1978) and received a Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University. During my years of teaching, I have educated 4th graders through Seniors.  I look forward to another amazing year and please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Integrated Physics & Chemistry:  Lessons for Week 26

Mon. - Students will continue drawing Atomic Models

Tues. -  Students will be taking Bench Mark Tests for EOC

Wed. - Students will be taking Bench Mark Tests for EOC

Thurs. - Students will Conduct Atomic Structure Activity Lab:  Drawing Atomic Models and identifying the number of protons, neutrons and electrons. (DG) 

Fri. - Students will continue activity/lab  (DG)

Forensic Science:  Lessons for Week 26. 

Mon. - Students. conduct and Activity: Claim, Evidence & Reasoning-Who Took the Team Trophy, to learn how to draw conclusions using evidence based reasoning. (DG)

Tues. - Students will watch a Forensic Files: Political Thriller and answer questions about a death due to toxins. (DG)

Wed. - Students will continue C,E,R Activity and finish writing their Police Report   (DG)

Thurs. -  Students will read a Text Analysis: Forensic Toxicology and answer questions. (DG)   

Fri. -  Students will research Toxicology vocabulary and generate a classification diagram of drugs an toxins. (DG)

Physics: Lessons for Week 26 .  

Mon. - Students will conduct a Lab: Work it Out with Power, collect data, calculate work and power and answer conclusion questions. 

Tues. - Students will continue and finish Lab: Work it Out with Power.  

Wed. - Students will practice calculating Work and Power problems. (DG)

Thurs. - Students will practice calculating work and Power problems with a coloring activity.  (DG)

Fri. - Students will conduct a Lab: Momentum and Impulse with Water Balloons, collect data and answer conclusion questions.  (DG)  

Grades:                           

Minor - 60%      Daily worksheets, Homework, Labs  (12+)       

Major - 40%      Tests, Quizzes, Projects (2+)

 

My tutorial schedule is :   Monday and Wednesday 7:30-7:50      I am available as needed.
