Welcome Back

I am Mona Norris and I am excited to be teaching IPC, Physics and Forensics. I am starting my 39th year in education and my 8th year at Brazos. I am a Brazos Alumni (1978) and received a Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University. During my years of teaching, I have educated 4th graders through Seniors.  I look forward to another amazing year and please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Integrated Physics & Chemistry:  Lessons for Week 12

Mon. - Students will learn about and take Doodle Notes over Density

Tues. -  Students will Read, Watch and Listen to a Video Lesson about Density. They will answer questions and practice calculating Density.

Wed. - Students will conduct a Lab:  The Density of Pennies, collect data, graph results and answer conclusion questions. 

Thurs. - Students will finish Lab:  Density of Pennies and then practice calculating Density. 

Fri. - Student Holiday/ Teacher Work Day

Forensic Science:  Lessons for Week 12. 

Mon. - Students will review for 6 weeks test over Death, Decomposition, and Pathology.

Tues. - Students will demonstrate knowledge of Death, Decomposition and Pathology on a test. 

Wed. - Students will conduct a Virtual Simulation Lab:  Interactive Autopsy and answer questions.

Thurs. -  Students will watch Forensic Files:  Insect Clues and answer questions. 

Fri. -  Student Holiday/ Teacher Work Day

Physics: Lessons for Week 12 

Mon. - Students will review for a 6 Weeks Test over Scalars, Vectors, Distance, Displacement, Speed and Time.  

Tues. - Students will conduct a Speed Lab:  speed of Toy Cars,   Collect data, graph results and answer conclusion questions. 

Wed. - Students will demonstrate knowledge of Location, Speed, Distance and Time on a Test. 

Thurs. - Students will conduct a Lab:  Velocity and Acceleration, collect data, calculate problems and answer conclusion questions. 

Fri. - Student Holiday/ Teacher Work Day. 

Grades:                           

Minor - 60%      Daily worksheets, Homework, Labs  (12+)       

Major - 40%      Tests, Quizzes, Projects (2+)

 

My tutorial schedule is :   Monday and Wednesday 7:30-7:50      I am available as needed.
