Welcome Back Students, Parents and Staff!
This year BES is an Ocean Of Opportunity, and I would like to thank the BES staff for welcoming me as part of the Diving for Success Team. My name is Laura Stavinoha, and I am from East Bernard. I taught ESL and managed the Elementary ESL Program PK-4th grade last year at East Bernard Elementary. This year I will be teaching third grade English Language Arts and Reading. This is my 33rd year of teaching and I have taught various grade levels K-4 in South Texas, the Rio Grande Valley and Sealy. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University, with a BS in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Bilingual/ESL and Early Childhood Education. My specialty is languages and reading. I have been a bilingual/ESL teacher for most of my career and love watching students learn to love reading and language. I come from a family of educators and am excited to be back in the classroom once again. I enjoy gardening, the beach, saltwater fishing, and football.
