About My Classroom
Please note: any failing grade in my classroom can be corrected up to 70%. My requirements are that the grade has to be redone on notebook paper, and all work needs to be shown in order to receive credit. Turning corrections in any other way will result in the grade being sent back home to try again.
In Math, any grade below 50% will be curved to 50% for the first semester.
Behavior: the 3rd grade has adopted the following behavior plan -
Rude, Disrespectful, or Disruptive behavior:
1st offense: Verbal warning.
2nd offense: Apology letter at recess.
3rd offense: Teacher’s choice between planner/email/phone call/Remind.
If a teacher has to write in a planner or email home more than one time in a given week, the teacher will call home.
**Two calls home in a given grading period will mean a change in conduct grade on progress report and/or report card.
Play Fighting: Sentences at recess about why we should not pretend to fight (the teachers cannot tell if it’s real or play.)
Our vision is to inspire each student to become a productive citizen who demonstrates leadership, passion, and self-reliability. We foster a culture of respect, community, perseverance, and achievement.
