Hello there!
My name is Amanda Wooldridge and I am so excited to be on the wonderful 3rd grade team here at Brazos Elementary School.
This will be my sixth year in teaching and I'm looking forward to meeting my new Cougars!
Previously at Brazos Elementary I have taught Kindergarten for one year, and now I'm in my second year of teaching 3rd grade Math and Science.
I graduated from the University of Houston - Downtown in 2014 and dabbled in Administration before making my way to the classroom. I've found that I love helping students find success and fun in learning and I especially love making learning fun!
I am certified EC-6, ESL, and GT and I love attaining new knowledge.
In the past I have worked for Lamar Consolidated ISD where I taught 4th grade Math and Science and then Kindergarten! Some of my professional accomplishments include coaching my Science Olympiad team to 1st place in Map Reading, and receiving a grant for Kindergarten mentor texts in the classroom.
I'm a Rosenberg resident, living with my husband, Jon, and two cats. We have a son, Adam, who is turning two years old in September.
In my spare time I like reading, singing, watching TV, and being with my family and friends - and especially being a Mom!
I look forward to a fantastic year of learning with our Cougars in the best Elementary school I know!
