Welcome - so glad you stopped by!!!!
Brazos High School will always hold a special place in my heart. I was a freshman when the school first consolidated back in 1974 - so yes - I was here the day the doors first opened. Certainly the highlight of high school for me was being a member of the school's first State Championship volleyball team. I received my bachelors degree from Sam Houston State University in August 1982 and began teaching business classes at Brazos the same year. (typing and shorthand - if anyone remembers those days!!!)
A lot has changed over the years but my love for this school and community will never change. I think after 39 years it is time to try something different, so my plan is to retire after this school year and hopefully travel a little and spend more time with my grandchildren. I thought I had seen almost everything - but I have never been asked to teach with a mask on before - so I guess we will all be learning new things this year. I believe God likes to keep us on our toes - so a new challenge for someone who is a little old - I love it!
I am looking forward to an awesome school year and getting to work with amazing teenagers - which is without a doubt the BEST part of this job!!!!!
