Run Club

Our running program will be every Wednesday during class time.  If weather conditions prevent the class from going outside, we will run in the gym.  Students will jog/walk for 15 minutes around a designated course.  For each lap or sprint completed, credit is given to the student.  Motivational prizes are given for every 5 miles  jogged/walked.

Goals

Improve cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance
Establish a foundation for learning good running form
Learn proper jogging and muscle stretching techniques
Strengthen and increase flexibility of the body (feet, ankles, knees, legs and hips)
Knowledge that running increases the ability to perform better in all sports
