Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
Hello :)
I am Dawn Mangrum. I will be teaching English 3, English 4, Financial Math, Math Models, Environmental Systems, U.S. History, and General Employability for High School students. I will be teaching Reading, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Pre-Vocational Skills for BMS students. I will also be the UIL Spelling Coach.
I received an Associate of Arts degree from Wharton County Jr. College and a Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University. I began working on my masters at Lamar University/Beaumont. I have taught for 29 years and this is my 12th year with Brazos ISD. Prior to teaching at Brazos, I taught at Bridge City, Needville, and Sealy.
I graduated from Brazos High School in 1985. My daughters are Brazos graduates as well. I am truly blessed with an amazing family and I treasure spending time with them!!!
I absolutely love working with my students!!!! It gives me so much joy to see my students build upon their skills and become successful!!!!
Our vision is to inspire each student to become a productive citizen who demonstrates leadership, passion, and self-reliability. We foster a culture of respect, community, perseverance, and achievement.
