Hello, my name is Susan Martin and I am very excited to be your Science and Social Studies Teacher. This year my students will get a lot of hands on experience with Science lab explorations and go on a great adventure learning about the history of our country during Social Studies class.
I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. I worked for a number of years as a Medical Technologist in the Hematology Lab at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. We moved to Wallis in 1996 and I began my teaching career in 2001.
I am married to an Aggie Entomologist and I have 2 boys. My oldest is 32 and my youngest is 28. I love to fish, garden, cook, sew, travel, and crochet. My husband and I are "Foodies", we like to explore and enjoy all the different types of restaurants in the Houston area.
I hope to build wonderful relationships with my students and their families this school year. If there is ever a need or question please do not hesitate to email me or call the school and leave a message.
BRAZOS ISD inspires each student to become a productive citizen who demonstrates leadership, passion, and self-reliability. We foster a culture of respect, community, perseverance, and achievement.
