Welcome to Brazos High School

and

Brazos Middle School Art

My name is Mr. Michael Parthum and I have been teaching for Brazos I. S. D. for 25 years. I have been teaching Art for the past 13 years. (Michael Parthum's Email)

I attended Wharton County Junior College and then transferred to Sam Houston State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography and Cinematography.

I was also a volunteer firefighter for the Rosenberg Fire Department and retired in 2011 as a Lieutenant Firefighter/EMT-B. While serving my community and helping other, I earned my teaching certificate through Region IV Education Service Center.

In 2008, I earned my Art Certification and in 2019 I became a mentor for Texas Photoshoot Workshops teaching new photographers basic skills and confidence with real models.

I love to learn about History and travel with my wife during the Summer breaks to visit National Parks, Civil War Battlefields, and Air Museums. We also travel to Canada every Summer to visit family.

Photography is my passion, I love hiking into the deserts of Big Bend National Park and experiencing nature and being in the peace and quiet. Our National Parks contain some of the most beautiful places on Earth and you must get away from this fast-paced world and enjoy yourself.

Enjoy some of my latest photographs from my Summer Trip to Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Our vision:

BRAZOS ISD inspires each student to become a productive citizen who demonstrates leadership, passion, and self-reliability. We foster a culture of respect, community, perseverance, and achievement.
