"A wonderful fact to reflect upon, that every human creature is constituted to be that profound secret and mystery to every other."

-Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

  Dear Seniors of 2024,

I feel so blessed to be walking these final months with you in your senior year! I am looking forward to learning from each other. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and I strive to be a lifelong learner. It is important to me to be able to look in the mirror and say, “I have tried my best.” Make no mistake, that doesn’t mean that I have not failed from time to time. In fact, I fail A LOT but I am no longer afraid because when I fail that means at least I tried and I will have grown from it.

When you are in my class you have to remember that the material is SUPPOSED to challenge you. It is designed for you to wrestle with. Don’t get me wrong, some things you will breeze through. Just don’t get discouraged when the path may not always be easy. Don’t be afraid to try, and fail, because that will be the only way you will grow. Nothing good comes from comfort zones.

Please click on the links below to see important information. You will be quizzed on the syllabus and other information that can be found on my web page. This is something that is done in 95% of online college courses. I’m looking forward to watching you grow into the adults you are about to become and it is my hope that you will learn some valuable lessons and create many memories along the way.

  Sincerely,

  Mrs. Nolen
