Brazos ISD Bond 2025 Update

Brazos ISD continues to make progress on the implementation of the 2025 Bond following a special Board meeting held on April 15, 2026.
Proposition A – Moving into Construction
The Board of Trustees unanimously approved the construction contract for Proposition A projects, which include:
- Brazos High School classroom renovations
- Additions at Brazos Middle School and Brazos Elementary
- A new wastewater treatment plant
- District-wide parking improvements
Construction is scheduled to begin at the conclusion of the school year in May 2026. These projects remained within the voter-approved budget and are now moving forward as planned.
Proposition B – Under Active Review
Proposition B projects remain under review. Updated cost estimates presented in January and March exceeded the voter-approved budget. While additional options were discussed, the Board determined more time is needed to explore solutions that align with fiscal expectations.
Brazos ISD is actively working with SZS Architects, Collier Construction, and the Bond Oversight Committee to evaluate options and determine the best path forward.
