Explanation of Ratings:

 

Exemplary Rated Campuses
To be Exemplary, a campus must have at least 90% of all students pass the standards for each subject; 90% of students taking the state’s alternative test pass the standards set by the **ARD expectations; and a dropout rate of 0.2% or less.

Recognized Rated Campuses
To be Recognized, a campus must have at least 70% of all students pass the standards for each subject; 70% of students taking the state’s alternative test pass the standards set by the **ARD expectations; and a dropout rate of 0.7% or less.

Academically Acceptable Rated Campuses
To be Acceptable, a campus must have at least 50% of all students and group passing the reading, writing and social studies sections of TAKS; 35% of all students and group passing math; 25% of all students and group passing science; 50% of students taking the state’s alternative test pass the **ARD expectations; and a dropout rate of 1% or less, or met required improvement.

Academically Unacceptable Rated Campuses
To be Unacceptable, a campus must not have meet 1 or more of the requirements for the Acceptable Rating.

** ARD: Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee members make decisions regarding placement in the Texas Assessment Program for students receiving special education services.

Gold Performance Acknowledgments

The Gold Acknowledgment system acknowledges districts and campuses for high performance on indicators other than those used to determined accountability ratings.
