Mr. Ebner is the last of six kids in his family.  He has five older sisters including: Mary Anne; Barby; Patty; Katy; and Amy. All of whom are either medical or educational professionals.  Mr. Ebner’s mom, Ms. Margaret Ebner, is a registered nurse with 40 plus years of experience in emergency, critical and geriatric care.  She also served in Hospital Administration as a Nursing Supervisor.  His dad, Mr. Lyle Ebner Senior, was a professional educator for more than 35 years including 12 years from 1971 – 1983 as a high school principal .  As a member of the United States Marine Corps 1^st Marine Division during World War II, the Senior Mr. Ebner served throughout the Pacific and on Okinawa where he received many citations including a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in service to his country.  As an elite member of the 1^st Marine Division, Lyle Ebner Senior served as a United States Marine Corps Drill Instructor and as a result his name will forever be inscribed on a larger than life sized monument for all Marines who served as Drill Instructors.  This monument proudly stands at the United States Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego, California.
