MR. LYLE EBNER

Mr. Ebner is the last of six kids in his family.  He has five older sisters including: Mary Anne; Barby; Patty; Katy; and Amy. All of whom are either medical or educational professionals.  Mr. Ebner’s mom, Ms. Margaret Ebner, is a registered nurse with 40 plus years of experience in emergency, critical and geriatric care.  She also served in Hospital Administration as a Nursing Supervisor.  His dad, Mr. Lyle Ebner Senior, was a professional educator for more than 35 years including 12 years from 1971 – 1983 as a high school principal .  As a member of the United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Division during World War II, the Senior Mr. Ebner served throughout the Pacific and on Okinawa where he received many citations including a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in service to his country.  As an elite member of the 1st Marine Division, Lyle Ebner Senior served as a United States Marine Corps Drill Instructor and as a result his name will forever be inscribed on a larger than life sized monument for all Marines who served as Drill Instructors.  This monument proudly stands at the United States Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego, California.
